Photo of the Week - June 7

Toadstools up close and personal and more of the little tree frog. We had so much rain for awhile that these huge toadstools were popping up in areas of our lawn with a lot of standing water. The little tree frog is still handing around, apparently there is plenty around for him to feed on.

August Night - another tree frog

In our front yard there is large pot filled with sweet potato vines and in those sweet potato vines there lives a small Cuban tree frog. I saw him last night so I tormented him for awhile by following him around with my camera. I hope I didn't permanently blind him taking all those flash shots. This little guy is about the size of my thumbnail.

Photo of the Week - June 15

Time to get back into this and get out this funk I've been in lately. I know some of our neighbors think we are strange when they see us out at all hours of the day and night taking pictures. Many people tend to take things for granted and they lose sight of all the beauty around them. That being said here are more sunset photos.

These are the miniature petunias in the pots in front of the lanai, really great colors.

Photo of the Week - June 1

This little tree frog was perched at the top of a window. I'm not sure what kind he is but his light color kind of blends in with the color of the house. And he has very strange looking eyes.

Photo of the Week - May 4

Shorebirds on Anna Maria Island. Some of these birds are easily recognizable like the Laughing Gull and the Royal Tern in the first photo. I'm not sure what all the others are, there are so many types and the differences are are often very subtle.

Photo of the Week - April 26

Another Anna Maria Island sunset.

A shot of my favorite photographer

I posted this shot to show the shells on the beach. There are large piles of shells all up and down the beaches. We have lived in Florida almost seven years and whenever we go to the beach we act like tourists and pick up shells and bring them home. We now have bags and baskets of shells stacked around the house.

Photo of the Week - April 19

We spent Wednesday evening at our favorite place, Anna Maria Island and I got some good sunset photos with the dunes and sea oats. We need to figure out a way to live on this beach.
